Steady Rest

One main purpose of the Steady rest is to avert the springing or deflection of the slender. These allow for furnish auxiliary support for the work so as to enable the heavy cuts and offer support work for boring, drilling and internal threading. Steady rest hold a long work piece steady during the process of turning. These are mounted to the lathe bed and do not make any significant movement with the lathe. They ensure concentricity and offer high-quality supporting cut.
